INSTRUCTOR
My name is Bethany, and I am a qualified level 2 Mermaid and monofin instructor through STA (safety Award Training) and mermaidsUK. My love of swimming started when I was a baby and I continue to love swimming. For 2 years I was swimming competitively until a coach recommended for me to join a synchronised swimming club.
I was also a member of a Synchronised swimming club for over 8 years, I competed in lots of competitions and in 2016 went to nationals and placed in the top 10 in the UK. This is where my love for swimming grow.
I am now a level 2 Swim teacher, baby and adult teacher, a mermaid instructor but also a recent probational aquatic tutor, where I will be able to train new swimming teachers and help more children develop their swimming skills and survival skills.
The first time I went swimming with a mermaid tail was a dream come true. I never thought I would ever have the opportunity to try it out, but I loved it so much and that is why I have become an instructor. Setting up Mermaid Discovery is exciting for me as I will be able to give everyone else the experience and enjoyment to swim like a mermaid or merman.

Parties can be 1 or 2 hours long, up to a maximum of 6 swimmers who are all able to meet our swimming prerequisites. These are private sessions for the birthday mermaid or merman and their friends. Parties have exclusive inflatables and games for the kids to enjoy!
A Certificate and small gift is also included
Experiences
Mermaid experiences are 1 hour long, anyone mermaid/merman can join. To attend a mermaid experience they all must be able to meet our requirements. ​

Please note activities are from 6-15 years. We hope to run adult classes in the future.
